My birthday is coming up in a few days and my mother offered to get me one nice gift, so I'm looking into a high quality headset for gaming. But I need it to cover a range of specifications so I'm going to need some recommendations seeing as it's easy to find quality headphones that cover one or a couple of these things, but not all...

Firstly it needs to be a headset with a mic, I need to be able to talk as well as hear.

I'm looking for quality, 5.1 surround sound at least.

Something that I can both use on my computer as well as my TV so that I can play my 360/PS3 late at night without bothering people. Take note that it should be something that allows me to use the mic on XBL and PSN as well.

Not a deal breaker, but I'm looking for wireless that way I can easily pop back and forth between PC and TV without being tethered. Also possibly something that can be charged.

My price range is 100 to 200 bucks, I may be willing to go 250 because ma will cover the first 100.

I hear it is a fantastic headset, but the one con is that it has TONS of cords. I mean I wanted cordless and this thing has the audio chord, the power chord, the 360 chord, etc. But like I said if you guys say it's good enough I'm willing to live with that.

So if you guys have any recommendations let me have them, just remember that the real deal breaker here is that it work on both PCs and consoles and has a mic. I appreciate the help.

PS. that up there was a thread I made yesterday for a different forum, after a very small number of replies I'm thinking of going with the Tritton headset I linked, that is unless any of you know of a better set that does all the same things.  Also does anybody know a place that I can get it cheaper than newegg?  Right now about the best price I'm finding is $152.

I like my Sennheiser headphones.

BTW, does it bother anybody else when headphones are advertised as "true 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound"?  Clearly they are not as there are only 2 drivers.
