Cooling that is.

So I don't know too much about it. What I really want is an all in one kit, just to cool my cpu, but being able to expand to cool my video card in teh futurez would be nice too.

I was looking at the thermaltake kits, among a few other ones.  Having a kit that could pop into a few 5.25 bays would be nice, but my case has holes in the back(lol) so you can run tubing out of it.

What would you forum trolls recommend ?

Love Don Snack.

If you don't mind putting it together yourself by far the best deal out there is
http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecod4.html
You can easily add a GPU block down the line and kick up the fans if necessary.

If you don't want to have to fill it and stuff the best option is...
Well, IMO it isn't worth buying but people have different opinions so I'll recommend
something for CoolIT which will only work well on a dual core and cost a ton.

Also, please at all costs, don't buy thermaltake. All of their stuff is total crap, buy gigabyte if you have to.

Below is probably the best WC forum on the internet. Just take their recommendations with a grain of salt, they hold the Xtreme in the title true. Most everything this recommend or say is "required" is overkill for most people.

Their air cooling isn't too bad, it's just their water cooling that is terrible. Aluminum radiator + 3-4 Generation old copper blocks + acrylic tops that crack for no reason at all.

ask yourself this, do you really need it? for the money you would spend on water cooling you could probably upgrade the CPU & Mobo which would typically give a better performance boost. I'm sure you know the answer to this already but it's still always worth asking.
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

I've got water cooling.

It sucks.

It's too expensive, and you have to change out the fluid every now and then, which is irritating to say the least. Aside from that, it's not much quieter than a good fan.

Is water cooling any more effective than using a regular fan?
