So i got Rockband 1 for my ps2 for christmas. I got the whole set and everything. However, when i put the disk in my PS2 it won't play. I check the Browser and the disk never shows up. It happens everytime and I've tryed everything I always try in this situation: make the the disk is clean (even though it's brand new) and clean out the disk tray in the ps2. Any help or suggestions? Cantrip wrote:When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a woman's jogging bra.

Make sure it is the PS2 version that you got. Try it in somebody else's PS2, and they their PS2 RB game in yours. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

it is the PS2 version. which is also weird because my girlfriend has rockband too and she tried to play it here before christmas and it had the same problem. It plays fine at her house though, so i'm thinking it has to be my PS2. Edit: also, she has the slimmer PS2, mine is the thick original one. do you think that would make a difference? The only difference that would make is that yours is older. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Sounds to me like your problem is you're playing Rockband on a PS2.

yeah, sounds like its your ps2. first, check other games and see what they do, cause some gs will work and some wont if the problem is what i think it is. i think there is some dust or some stuff obstructing the lens, so what you get to do is actually take the ps2 apart, take the lid off the tray, and use some canned air to blow the lens clean. be careful when putting it back together not to get more dust in the tray. this has happened to my ps2 a few times now, and blowing the lens clean has worked every time. Upgrade for $20. Win. Probably just a firmware issue... which you probably can't fix. Probably. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....
