Someone asked me this question recently. Is this the end of our gaming community? Has our relevance in the gaming scene become obsolete? The answer is yes and no. As long as I have any money, this site will survive. We may be smaller structurally, but we're still a community. Yes in the fact that our servers have fallen into disarray. I blame myself. I haven't had the time to manage them properly. It seems the admin team I recruited to take over for me has had the same issues, though props to Dragon for keeping the recruits organized. That's right, Dragon. A compliment from me! We will survive this. We're going through some restructuring right now. I can assure you that eventually the new site and new forums will launch. Stats will be returning to the servers, and as new games come out we'll see increased activity again. The fact of the matter is TF2 is becoming stale and Left4Dead isn't really a game that focuses around community servers. I ask you all to continue to be patient. I see a bright future ahead of us. It might take time and as many of you have come to realize lately, Whut time is on the same clock as Valve time. Things get done, but slowly. I'm in a different point in my life now. I've had to grow up a lot lately and readjust my priorities. However, if there was only one active member left on the boards, the boards would stay online for that one person. This community dies when you let it die. It can live forever if you help me make it live forever. Thank you for your patience. Stay hopeful. We'll get through this slump!

Whatever happens boss, I'm behind ya in spirit with nary a penny to pay. Now I feel bad there's not been any games over here new enough to work on, guess you all will have to settle for a classic. You've outlived New Formula Coke. You've outlived the predictions Brad made about dominating your face. No my precious, you will never die . . . . You should be more like Cantrip. Apologies. But you get the idea. You can lube me up for that later. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." cantrip, your missing {Nocturnal} {P.R.O.} and [Mr.] from that list, tho they are way back in the day. we have outlived worse slumps, this is like a minor pothole Formally known as MrT The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

We're all here and will continue to be. One of the benefits of not being dependent on one game/game series is that as games come and go, we remain. I'm surprised game development has slowed to the level it has, video game sales has been the only strong thing going in this economy. Hey, we've got a great community. When new shit comes out and we can get shipments of new recruits, it'll be exciting. Honestly I don't care what games we play, if they're good, I'm interested. I will say this, I was excited to play TF2, but once I got it...meh. Somehow FPS's are becoming yesterdays news to me. Maybe because I've been playing them since the days of Wolfenstein 3D, but few games interest me these days. GTAIV is sweet because I like the sandbox style game play. Portal was awesome because it was so damned clever. HL2 was cool when it came out. DoD was also unique. But as of lately, nothing really tickles my fancy. Maybe I should play L4D? get your ass to mars

Although starcraft 2 isn't a server based game we would be able to host I can honestly see it bringing more of us playing it together. We just gotta wait for more games to come out that we can host to start dragging traffic back to stupid town. ahhhh_crap wrote:no, splinter has ethics and whut has emotions
