Hit the town of LoneGrove, where alot of my co-workers live....8 confirmed dead so far (none of my coworkers)...might be more.  Sucks.  I'm sure most of the fatalities are from a trailer park that was right in the path.  There was absolutely no reason any of them should have died....

We knew for 20-30 minutes that a tornado was on the ground and the cel was tracking for that area.  I guess you can give people all the information available to save their lives and still some will roll the dice.  We knew exactly when the tornado entered teh town because while we were watching the radar's hook echo move over the town...at teh same time all the storm chasers out on the radios were panicking.  A couple teams got too close...they suddently lost radio contact. Then in my house all the lights started to flicker as the power grid was taking the beating.  Lights flickered on and off for about 3 minutes....and the east part ofthe town was gone.

edit* 2 coworkers lost thier homes so far...but are okay.

Goddamn!

I was paying attention to the storm as it approached Oklahoma City, but by that time there wasn't much left and we just got a lot of rain.  Not a good way to start into the April/May tornado season...

Tornadoes have an uncanny ability to find trailer parks. My gf told me last night the tornado sirens went off at school in Dallas. The storm is about 30-60 minutes outside of Pittsburgh...

I'm glad that you are alight - that's such a scary feeling! Tornado ally isn't the most fun place to be in the springtime.
