This question was originally asked as a joke amongst my friends (coed friends, mind you) but later turned into a serious discussion, and the answers I heard from some of my friends surprised me; others not so much. Therefore, I'm curious to see what your guys' take on this is.
Basically, would you ever consider having sex with a best (or really good) friend in the event that they asked you? This can be in any circumstance, whether they just want sex, petty themselves, or anything. It's interesting because from what I've gathered, there are people that wouldn't have sex with a good friend because it crosses the line, but at the same time have sex with people they know poorly in comparison. On the contrary I've heard people say the opposite, that it's better to have sex with a good friend even if it's crossing "friend boundaries" (however you define that boundary), than to have sex with someone that you don't know too well but doesn't hold any "friend zone" barrier.

I don't think it's a clear-cut yes/no answer for me. It really depends on the friend. From my perspective, if a friend asked me to have sex with her, it implies that she wants something more than friendship. What I would have to ask myself is that something I want as well. Then I have to ask myself is it worth risking our friendship over. If I felt there was something there more than just "friendship" then I might be inclined, but otherwise, I would have to go with no.

Totally. We would be as straight as possible about it, making sure we're both cool with it, making sure we both wanna do the benefriends thing, and then yes. We'd do it like animals. Assuming, of course, I didn't have a girlfriend. Which I do. So...not right now. But if/when I'm single. Oh gawd. Safety + Peace

My best friend who is opposite gender right now is my ex girlfriend. I fuck my ex girlfriend every chance I get. So yes, I would and have fucked my best friend. Besides her my next best friend is probably my ex wife, I would not fuck her. We got reallymessed up on booze and opiates and talked about it, she said she would be down cuz apparently I'm a good lay, but I will never fuck her again regardless.
