I found this really fun multiplayer game called Savage 2. Its like a cross between a FPS and a RTS. I've been playing it for a few days now and im getting hooked. I wonder if any other penguins want to give it a try.
Oh yeah, the game is totally free to download and to play!
Its got great graphics and a really great combat system.
One guy (the commander) on your team see's the game as a RTS type game and builds building and does the tech trees. The rest of the team are the units in FPS real time combat. Its hard to imagine if you haven't played it. I think its a rockin alternative if TF2 is a little burnt out for you right now. Let me know if anyone is interested in logging on for a few games with me.

The first savage was my first game to direct to drive buy. I played it for a while, it is interesting....but didnt hold my attentino for more than 3-4 weeks. I think it was the lack of gameplay types....all you did game after game was hope you got a good commander and hope ppl would actually listen to the commands. and it was sac the enemy base over and over again. I hope they ahve thrown in more variety.

although not the same game, there was a game exactly similar like this made on the source engine and a mod for hl2. 2 ppl 1 from each side take the RTS view and build shit up, while everyone else played units in fps.
