How does everyone feel about it? It's buggy as shit. There are about 3 mission types in the entire campaign. There are only four races. But something about it has me loving it. I'm really excited they went with a more RPG style gameplay.

I have yet to see a bug, otherwise I'm enjoying myself. I upgraded to Vista 64 so I could play it on max details. [01:34] whutdufk: I love you Spaniard Lead Salad wrote:I love you Spaniard FinalGamer wrote:I love you Spaniard <3

DoW 1 only had 4 races, it would be hard as shit to balance 9 races. I for one and loving this game, jumping my assault marines into the thick of tyranid horde, mowing shit down with my dreadnaught. I havent experienced any bugs either, maybe mp might still have a couple. But overall I love the change of pace in the game In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.

When leaving a garrisoned structure there is a 30% chance that the squad leader of that squad will simply vanish and that squad stops responding to orders. This has become a royal pain in the ass. There are four mission types. Defend, attack, destroy, boss battle. That's it. It's played on the same few maps over and over again. The gameplay is literally "start in lower corner, fight to upper corner, fight boss, rinse repeat." Boss battles have become tedious and stupid. There could have been so much more done with that concept instead of simply having a clone of another unit come out with 900000000000000 health and poor AI. What's with them being chained to the boss area anyway> They've since patched most of the other bugs. Overall I feel like it's a fun game, but they could have done so much more with it. Furthermore, the game completely rips off starcraft's "meet raynor" demo video where they give you the run through of how the terran campaign is going to work. Let's see... you spend your time on a ship in orbit of a planet. You can either do story missions or respond to optional missions on other planets that are time sensitive. Responding to optional missions will earn you moneys/points towards new units/gear... You go through the missions upgrading your dudes and earning new stuff to fight harder missions in the campaign. Dawn of war 2 literally took everything Blizzard said they were doing when they demo'd the Hyperion bridge and rushed it out. Considering they basically jacked everything Blizzard was working on, it's a shame they couldn't add a bit more to making it really stand out.

I primarily bought it for the multiplayer competitive aspect. I love it. If anyone wants to help me grind the souls of real men into jelly, I would appreciate it. Sure, there will be some pain...but its also rewarding to know you are making grown men swear and lament...thier shame carried to you on the backs of electrons.

Just for Whut, since my first post in the thread I have noticed a couple of bugs, none of them in-game though. One bug doesn't log me into GFWL when I start up occasionally, the other bug occasionally minimizes on startup and won't maximize until I restart my computer.
