Why did you link up a website that installs key loggers? Are you trying to help the guy? The site is now down it was reported to his host. But if anyone did click that link in my "Account Hijacked" thread and then clicked "this is the site that did it to me" ....then tried to login into the fake site with their steam information... then I wish natural selection would take its course...lol I wanted people to know what the link was since I have like 40 PDS members on my friends list.

Was this like a phishing site that looked like a steam account site that required you to log in to join the steamgroup? I am just trying to understand how he could pick out your steam account login info so fast just using a keylogger. If it did install a keylogger you are in alot more trouble than just steam account jacking...he could have gotten any number of passwords/etc before you detected it. It looked exactly like the steam site, exactly. I tried logging in and it didnt work, then I got booted from my account, then email stating my email for my account was changed. When I tried to login he grabbed my shit...my guess. He recorded what I typed into the fake login in page.

Ducktor lost his account to a similar scam. I got a message from him asking to join a steamgroup, etc ,etc. Fair warning to anyone he may contact in the future. Quote:

If it did install a keylogger you are in alot more trouble than just steam account jacking...he could have gotten any number of passwords/etc before you detected it. Thats exactly what it is. These people sign up for a free .tk domain name ( www.dot.tk) and some free hosting somewhere. They put up a page that looks exactly like the steam page but when you submit your login details, it emails them to the scammer rather than authenticating you into steam. I usually kill one of these a week, not through steam or anything, I just get them on TOS for their host and the .tk. By the way, the only steam site is steampowered.com and anything beyond that, such as support, will be support.steampowered.com etc. Anything else, especially a .tk is fraud.
