LOL...."All of this is a lie" "once the video tape was released she stopped talking" NO SHIT I agree with kbuz, what the media shows you is simply for ratings, like with Rodney King. Even though I agree what the police did was wrong. The media didn't show the whole tape, they didn't show him trying to push away the police. They made it seem like they just dragged him out of the car and beat the shit out of him. Because the media didn't tell the whole story, and just wanted to take a bad story, and make it worse, it led to the riots in L.A. Because the media didn't tell the whole story, and just wanted to take a bad story, and make it worse, it led to the riots in L.A. I grew up near LA. My parents drove past rioters on their way home from a Lakers game. My girlfriends dads national guard unit got called up and he had to spend a few days holding a rifle on some street corner in "south central". He loved it though, he was a white supremacist. I remember seeing the full Rodney King video on TV more than once back then. It was never hidden that he was pulled over for a DUI and had resisted arrest. I remember seeing it played out in slow motion on the local news, with cops to explain each frame of the video. I don't know of anyone who thought he was just randomly pulled from his car and beaten. Although I did know a lot of white kids who thought the nigger got what he deserved. I think if you asked most sociologists who have studied how the whole thing turned into a riot the lack of knowledge about Rodney King's behavior prior to his brutal beating by the police is not going to be high up on the list of contributing factors. Which isn't to say the traditional media doesn't suck horribly... Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.
