New law in Toledo Ohio was passed, fining homeowners for parking in their own driveways. This new law states that you have to be parked on a paved surface. So if your driveway is gravel, you will get a $25 ticket.

Proof there are red-necks in Ohio I guess.

"Whahtcha mean I kan't park on Mah front yard in tha city? Kan't Ya see I got some gravel pour'd out thar!" Now itz a drivewaay.

- I hate that one of my neighbor on my street has a gravel driveway (we are in the middle of the city). It spills fucking rocks out all across the road, and it looks like shit. And anytime they are feeling fucking cool they back out fast and throw rocks everywhere.
Its because gravel driveway owners dont take care of their shit and it ends up becoming the neighborhood's problem. Any "right" someone claims they have to own a gravel driveway doesn't come packaged with the right to damage the street and other people's property.

I see what you are saying with your neighbor and whatnot. You do have a legitimate point. And I agree that a pile of gravel poured somewhere on a yard does not constitute a parking spot. But what bothers me, is that there might be "rednecks" who do that sort of thing, there are also a great number of normal, hard-working people who have a gravel driveway. And to now say that they can't park there.

Sometimes, people have decent gravel driveways, but simply do not have enough money to be paving it, but rather be spending the money to improve the leak in their basement, or the drafty windows.

I grew up in Toledo. I don't remember ANY gravel driveways in the city.
I wonder what this is really about.
