I didn't immediately realize it was The Onion and I SO believed it could be true.

Even though its the onion...I think that actual research would probably find that a majority of American waking hours are, infact, spent infront of some kind of viewing screen/monitor/tv/cellphone screen. When you actually start thinking about how many times a day you spend reading some data of some kind, or being entertained....it really is comical.

Oh god, all of my teachers use projectors almost every day, too. On top of doing all of my homework on my computer, I also spend unholy amounts of time playing video games and surfing mindlessly on the net.. I think the only time I'm not looking at a glowing rectangle is when I'm on the bus or outside toking, and even then I'm constantly looking at my iPod screen.

I love the onion. Well, not that sort of love. More like enjoy it the way Spaniard enjoys a small marsupial up the backdoor.

But I spend many of my days staring at fish tanks (work at a fish store). They are all rectangular, and have a light source, thus glowing rectangles.

This is therefor true even outside the electronic world.

Onion humor is too mild for my tastes. Which is ironic because real onions make me cry.

The raw ones at least.
