Computer died on me a few days ago, after a restart, for no reason it seems. After trying to fix it for the last few days I managed to breifly get a bit of life out of it and got into the BIOS where is said "Vcore Fail". Specs: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 (Rev 3.3) Intel Q6600 B3 Atrix 650t (650 Watts) Corsair 800Mhz 4GB ATI Radeon HD 4870 Hitachi 250GB Sony NEC AD-7200S Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Ive tried resetting the CMOS and have the latest BIOS. Im skint at the moment so I can't just buy new components. vcore=fail means something is wrong with voltages on the motherboard. Probably the mobo, if not then the PSU is the next likely culprit. Since you already reset the BIOS you shouldn't be overclocked/overvolted anymore if you were before, so it's down to the hardware. You may possibly be able to get it to run if you can undervolt it, you'll probably have to adjust clock speed down to maintain stability though. Most likely you are gonna need new hardware though. Thanks for the help, My computer wasn't previously overclocked before it died (except for the graphics card). However, what I have noticed is that I could used to be able to overclock my processor, but overtime, the amount of which I could overclock my processor successfully has been getting lower and lower untill I could no longer overclock my processor without fault. Also should point out that my processor is very power-hungry at 105W (I downgraded from a 95W 'G0' revision to a less-efficient 105W 'B3' revision [Still low temps] as a friend bought my 'G0' revision for better overclocking), so it could be that my motherboard has aged and can no longer cope with the energy demands of the processor. It's very unlikely to be the PSU as it is only a few weeks old. Quote:Posting related image due to my inability to formulate an intelligent response. BlooDz wrote:i cant type good im stupid
