Something for you to try even though it is not chili. Google old Settlers Beans. It is not spicy like chili even though it is almost all bean. It has a smokey and sweet flavor in it kind of like canned brown beans but far beyond that. Eat it with a salad and some good soft homemade bread.

I dont have a wife, but i have a mom and she makes great homemade chili. We eat homemade cinnamon rolls with our chili. This may be weird to some of you, but I guess it must be a Nebraska thing. Anyway don't say "eww" until youve tried it together... just substitute it for your cornbread or whatever you normally eat with chili. I will try to find the recipe out of all her unorganized recipe boxes.... and then i shall post it :)
