I'm buying it. I love it more than a large portion of people I know (muff being one of those people).
I went into it expecting some light RPG action, but what I didn't expect was a deep and elaborate design similar to Diablo, but marginally better in areas. I hate the game balance, at times, considering you can stack infinitely many enchantments and bonuses on a single weapon or item. Reselling items is somewhat broken, too, since the average sell values for everything are nowhere near the buy values. I guess the beauty to this game is that it's really made for it's mod community to go nuts with and add more to the game however way they want.
I'm not so much sure about the MMO Runic Games is making. I know it's essentially Torchlight but online, however, the game is being based around the more Asian centric buying model. You know the type: play for free, but buy everything else for extended play. If the core of the game plays anything like what I've played thus far in the single player, then I might just follow the crowd on this game. It really is fun.
