I currently use a basic USB Microsoft optical wheel mouse. I've got a gift card for Circuit City burning a hole in my pocket and am considering a new wireless mouse. I'll kick up the difference if I need to. There's so many to choose from and such a wide price range. I am considering the Logitech G5.
What works well for gaming - particularly HL2? I am assuming that more than 3 buttons would help. Please give me the benefit of your experiences.

DUDE! I have that mouse, it's nice. It has buttons so you can adjust the sensitivity ingame, but kinda sux when you play, and switch it on accident. :/ You can always turn the buttons off.lol jp jp!â„¢

I use a Logitech cordless G7 - The best mouse I have ever used.................. The good thing is that it comes with 2 lithium batteries so you always have one charged if they other one runs out of juice. I have some POS Microsoft Optical, probably the same one you have. I thought it did its job well enough untill I started looking over the specs of the RAZER mice. I might be upgrading with you, hell they even have cords that apparently dont tangle.  AKA Shinobi Quote:Kick some giga-butt

Thanks for the input. I went with Sirus and ordered a Razer Diamondback in Salamander Red. 7 buttons - 5 fingers... ought to keep me busy for a while.
I still got $1.22 left on my gift card! Maybe I can buy a candy bar or something.
