Decided to see if the power of the Interwebz can help with my fundraising efforts... Anyhow this year I am captaining a team for the Relay for Life which is held at my University and at various places across Canada once a year. The Relay for Life is a Cancer Fundraiser that raises money for the Canadian Cancer society so that they can fund cancer research. Last year I participated in this event and had a great time but this year I am captaining a team so I can contribute to the overall fund raising efforts. Last year my University raised about 25 thousand dollars for cancer research at the Relay for Life and this year we are looking to raise 30k. Anybody can make a team and set the teams fundraising goals. As I expect to have 12-20 people on my team, I have set my teams goal for 1000 dollars which shouldn't be too hard with 12-20 people. Anyhow we all know somebody who has been affected by cancer so if you feel the urge to donate to a good cause please do so. I know times are tough but if you guys want to help out and donate some money it would be much appreciated. Just a fyi I don't want to guilt trip you guys into donating. If you cannot afford to donate that's ok. I'm just utilizing my online connections to get the word out. For those who want to donate here's how. 1. Go to this link http://www.kintera.org/f...fault.asp?ievent=330261 (It's the Canadian Cancer Society I'm not scamming you) 2. Click Donate Now 3. Sponsor me (Konstantinos Roccas) or my team (The Crimson Guard) It doesn't matter which one you sponsor the money goes to the same place (though I have a personal goal of 100 dollars so it would be great if you donated under my name first =) 4. ????? 5. Profit! (Cancer Research at Least.) Thanks Everyone and sorry for wasting forum space <3 I'm the leetest one here
