I just rattled off the following one-liner without thinking about it. I think its time for me to log off and go outside or something. Oh, its dark now, this might be a problem. Code:bragr@toasty:/var/www$ file=~/scripts/wang.sh; touch $file; echo 'echo "IP:"; read ip; rdesktop -u bragr -k en-us -g 90% -N -a 16 -z -x l $ip &' > $file; chmod u+x $file; sudo ln -s $file /usr/bin/wang

First you prep it, then you start a statement "echo "IP:"... the rest I'm not too sure of. wtf is rdesktop? Then you reset permissions on the script and symlink it so your shell can call it. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....

That has GOT to be the guy who deemed it cool to put a dozen commands on one line.

Close: I was in my www folder and I created a file called wang.sh in a folder scripts in my home directory (the ~), I preped it, wrote a simple script that prompts for an IP and creates a remote desktop connection to that IP (rdesktop), them I set permissions and created a symlink to it.

I dunno what that means, so I'll just ask this: Should I be scared? Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. Backpack of Win
