Though I'll probably never complete it now, I might as well share what I got done of it. Originally I was going to include this world on our server, reachable by stargate. It was actually designed to be the "entry" to the world, giving players resources to begin their trek across the ocean.

Let the tour begin...

Welcome to Oceania (Under Construction)

Tower Lobby
Entryway into the main tower structure. Doors to the north and south leading to bridges destined to go off in those directions, and a surrounding balcony to get to where the east/west bridges would be. The waterways along the ceiling are the last path of the mob trap, where loot flows before falling into the central opening and going to the sublevels. The 2x2 center of the tower is at coordinates 0,0 to -0,-0; making it easy to always find your way back.

Level 2 - Gateroom
The dirt portal would have eventually been replaced by obsidian to become this world's Stargate, making this the entry/exit point of this world. The world spawnpoint is also in this room. The redstone torches, which come across as cosmetic here, actually power rails on the floor above.

Level 3 - Rail Station
This floor was to offer rail stops/starts heading N/S/E/W. I probably would have redesigned it to be more appealing at some point.

Level 4 - Rooms
For the weary traveler, the fourth floor offers two rooms, each with a private balcony, storage, and workbench.

Level 5 - Social Area (incomplete)
This floor was to offer seating, food, books, and art.

Level 6 - Observatory (incomplete)
This would have been the highest floor of the tower. Possibly open to the sky, or otherwise enclosed in glass. Seating, plants, flowers, and a heck of a view.

Heading back down: Sublevel 1 - Workshop
The higher deck of this floor offers the central mob trap collection area along with chests to store the items mobs would drop. The bottom area sports 18 furnaces, 4 workbenches, and many a chest to store all other items.

Sublevel 2 - Tree Farm
Taking ladders down from this point, we come across our tree farm. In-floor lighting ensures no tripping over torches as you chop away through dozens of trees. This is the first sublevel that's fully underwater/underground.

Sublevel 3 - Vacant

Sublevel 4 - Farms
The fourth sublevel sports a semi-automated wheat farm, sugar cane farm, and cacti farm. There's also an experimental "stone maker", as well as a trap wrapped around a skeleton spawner.

The Great Hall
Accessible from sublevels 2-4, this underwater hall leads to the courtyard south of the tower. It ascends to the surface of the water to provide clear sunlight during the day.

Courtyard
The courtyard was to serve as the mid-point between the tower and my private residence, but I never got so far as to work on that. It would eventually have sported bushes, grass, and flowers, along with the two waterfalls. Like the Great Hall, it ascends high enough to allow natural light through during the days.

The Spires
Above the courtyard resides the Spires, made primarily of glass with the necessary evil of white wool to sit torches on, for night time illumination.

The Platforms
Recall the giant platforms we saw from a distance? Each have a grassy surface top and a dark, hollowed-out interior to promote passive and aggressive mob spawning. Both levels drop into a drowning trap that sends loot through the streams, above the lobby, to be collected on sublevel 1. At full efficiency it can drop multiple items-per-second on average.

Looking Down
From here you can see the access bridges to two of the platforms, one of the loot delivery streams, below that the Great Hall, and finally the Spires.

And for the geeks...

Unfortunately, it's completely fucked up thanks to recent Minecraft updates. Hence why I've given up playing it. In fact, almost all of my past creations are now fucked up in one way or another. The exception may be my skyway, but even that I would construct differently now, what-with the blocks that have been added recently.

Le sigh.

It's probably all just some conspiracy to get you to play it more.

Heh... it kind of backfired.

Even if I went back and remodeled everything to prevent water/lava dripping everywhere, the change in the passive mob spawning code would still leave my traps highly ineffectual; the Lighthouse, Fortress, and Oceania were all based around being increasingly efficient mob traps. I'll sometimes build just for form, but my most complex projects are based also around function.

time to move onto terraria?
In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.

lol, not me. And even if I did play it, it could never replace Minecraft as my creative outlet.

I was really impressed until I saw you use a 3rd party editing program thingy. Tsk tsk. Its still a very purty building though.
