For a few weeks now I have "smelled" something when I have to use a program thats use graphic intense stuff. I,e,, video games ,dvd, etc. It has been a "hot" smell.

Yesterday as I try to play ctf, I get on and it works for about a minute then freezes, everthing freeezes or an ATI message box pops up and tells me that my video card is not responding. I first noticed this problem when I downloaded Google Maps ,tried to use the program and everything locked up. I removed the map program but the problem remained.

What do you guys think? Video card fried? I just don't want to buy another one and have the same problem.

BTW I have a POS system:

HP a550n off the shelf computer

AMD 2800+

80GB HD {about 50%full

512 ram

ATI 9800<-- the only modification I have done

Please help, I miss playing already.

I read ALL your private messages.

Sirus: Wait, you made the recovering alcoholic bring beer?
WDF: This shouldn't surprise you, this is me we're talking about... It'll be a test.
