On most games, I've noticed my computer doesn't handle them lightly. I admit, it wasn't built for gaming, but I spent a sh!t load of $$$ to jack up the specs on this this laptop. The Ship seems to crash without failure when I connect to servers, and lately CTF has been buggy with me. It's not lag... but it seems alot like it. My ping is usually about 100 on the servers (like 3x other peoples) and I've been told that's okay, but it's just annoying to me when the game seems to lag. I could try and nab a demo of it, but I'll bet the demo plays fine for you guys, or just me in general. I mean, it doesn't kill my gameplay, but I can't get my speed up fast, and it's killing my wall-jump practices lmao.
My system specs are uploaded to my X-Fire page. Take a look there. Also I've got wireless....which may, in fact, be the root of my issues lmao.
Any other help or comments or suggestions?
{I'm about to check for driver updates, because it just occurred to me, those may be out of date (although it gave me alot of sh!t when I went to play HL2: Ep1 the first time, and I finally fixed it all.)} [20:39] {pDs} t3h Cam3l: hey craig, how do i set up a private server? [20:40] {pDs} t3h Cam3l: i want to teach my gf how to play and the crypt was empty but its starting to fill [20:40] ҜịηĢ ÄœÅĵÏŅņ: Fail.

You know with a Wieless router it's never gonna be steady unless you've got a truly bad-ass D-Link router which totally pawns........ Consider using a CAT-5 cable and connect it that way , it's ton's better imo and they don't cost much either just make sure you get the correct length, lol.

Then what it could have been was your Anti-Virus running in the background OR it was DLing an update..........I've told anyone willing to listen to turn off stuff your not using when you game as it uses alot of CPU juice.........I run 19-20 processes when I game.......

wireless in gaming? just make sure its not your mouse. i get the lag too. i always feel like its server-side cuz when it happens, numerous people seem to bitch about it. even in the fight club i've seen the place get all whiney and bitchy about the lag so i think it has to do with the server-side shit. maybe it will be juiced up in the 1.8 version.
