Just for the some of you that don't know, skype is free to call any phone(us canada) for the rest of the year.  That means no long distance bills bitch.  Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I knew about Skype, but not in 1999.  I think Don's comment goes to their offer to give you free calls to land-line numbers. I went to their site and the offer is good until the end of the year on the free calls. They also have video calling.

Sirus, do you not like Skype and if so, why?  And when you say Google talk is "out" does that mean it's new, it's gone, or it's come out of the closet?  And which one do you like best, if not from these two choices, then another free product perhaps?

I was going to sign up, but then remembered your comment.
