So I am debating whether or not to go by the crossfire edition card for my x1900xtx card. I hear that if your not running like 1600x1200 its not worth it. I have a sony xbrite monitor that has 1280x1024 dvi. Will I get better gaming/graphics performance with this other card for my current games such as fear hl2 bf2 ect? Or wait a while until a game comes out demanding the unique horsepower? At 500 bucks a pop, I can go either way on getting the card. I am a hardware junky so I natrally just want to go buy the dawm thing and have it. But resource wise, I dont really know if I will gain on visuals and performance. Like i said, i have the 1900xtx overclocked as well to the highest settings.

Since you run 1280x1024, Crossfire is useless for you. There would be a small FPS increase like 2-3fps in certain games, but CF and SLI really show their stuff in 1600x1200 and above.
