So I just came back from the new James Bond movie. It was okay -certainly a lot better than some of the recent Bond movies. Worth the price of a mid-day ticket at least, but then again, I'm a cheap bastard.
This Bond is more of a thug. It had guns, explosions, aimless killing, but no breast-shots. It's just not a bond movie without a few gratuitous nipples here and there.
My biggest complaint is there was a hell of a lot of dialogue of the mushy kind between Bond and his bitch. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it.
Anyway, the opening song is by Chris Cornell, formerly of Soundgarden:
You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Xylicon: "I'm about to deliver my [Richard] in your face for posting that stupid shit. " WDF?: "He keeps reaming me... night after night... I'm rather sore." GivePeaceAChance: "OMG MY NIPS ARE HARD" llenta: "cantrip, you fail!!!" Filliam H. Muffman: "i'm on top of dick"

Chris Cornell all the way :) His voice is completely amazing, especially on the first Audioslave album. Thank god he stopped drinking and smoking, or else his voice probably would have deteriorated. Look for his new solo album next year!

I've been wanting to see it, but they recently changed the matinee from 5 or 6 to 3pm, and the ticket price rises to 9 bucks after that. Fuck you, regal cinemas. So I find another way: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5800499061943313098&q=casino+royal+duration%3Along still searching for part 2 Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

Ya. I don't like paying $9.25 to see something that may turn out to be crap. If I want to see it on a big screen I wait until it plays at the cheap theater for $3. But even that is too much for some movies. The matinee is anything before 6 p.m. and then the price is $2. For $2, I would have even paid to watch the movie DOOM, but it was only there for like two days. That's bad. Anyway, Couples' Night is Wednesday where you get two tickets, two popcorns and two drinks for $10. But for under five, two people can see a matinee show and still have enough to share a hotdog. Did that to see the movie Serenity, which I thought was just another episode, only longer.
What a racket. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." GivePeaceAChance: "If the Tempest had nipples, I'd pinch that shit." Just seen it. it was a pretty shit opening credits for a bond movie. i prefer the girls. and the song was almost as bad as Madonnas. the parkour scene was one of the best actions scenes ever. the rest was pretty darn good too. bit too cheesy in places though, but i guess that's the curse of bond. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

-elf Smoking makes your voice sound hella dope. Just look at Tom Waits or Aesop Rock.

Haven't seen the movie yet, though people say that it was much better than previous Bond movies. I have to see the movie myself to get the better view. But I think I would like the old Bond movies since they are a classic.

I saw it long ago, I personally think it was one of the better Bonds overall, and definitely the best as of late. There was a lot of dialogue, but it did set-up the Bond character very well since it was actually the first of the books. The opening seen was pretty cool looking IMO. I liked the intro, and Chris Cornell's song isn't too bad either, although my personal favorite Bond song would be Paul McCartney's Live and Let Die. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.
