Taken directly from www.cheatcc.com the First sentance is one person saying it, and the second sentance is the reply.

  • Strange squad comments

When you are in City 17 during your second visit, try talking to some of your squad members. They will say something like, "I can't believe this day has finally come", or "If I ever get my hands on Dr. Breen...". However, sometimes they will say strange and sometimes funny things like, "When this is all over, I'm gonna mate.", "Have I ever told you that I sometimes dream of cheese?", and more. Some of your squad members reply to what they have said. If you talk to a squad member that is standing near or next to another squad member, they will interact with each other. For example, If one of them says, "If I ever get my hands on Dr. Breen....", the other will reply, "That's more information that I require." The following is a list of all the things they say and all the replies. Note: The replies are not always the same, but they are most of the time.

  • I don't feel anything anymore. You talking to me?
  • I can't remember the last time I had a shower. Don't be so sure of that.
  • I don't think this war's ever going to end. You're talking to yourself again.
  • To think, I all I wanted to do was to sell insurance. I'm with you.
  • I'm not a betting man, but the odds are not good. Can we talk about this later?
  • Someday, this'll all be a bad memory. I'm not even gonna tell you to shut up.
  • When this is all over, I'm gonna mate. Wouldn't be the first time.
  • Whoa…. Déjà vu! Doesn't bear thinking about it.
  • They're never going to make a Stalker out of me. There's always a first time. Or, Ill put it on your Tomb Stone.
  • God I'm hungry. Lets concentrate on the task at hand.
  • If I ever get my hands on Dr. Breen…. That's more information than I require.
  • I think I ate something bad. Yeah, you and me both.
  • Sometimes, I dream about cheese. You should nip that kind of talk in the bud.
  • Finally, change is in the air! Keep your mind on your work.
  • You feel it? I feel it! I wish I had a dime every time somebody said that.
  • I can't remember I the last time I had, well, anything. I won't hold it against you.
  • When this is all over, I'm…. aw, who am I kidding? Try not to let it bother you.
  • I'm pretty sure this isn't part of the plan. Same here.
  • Doesn't anyone care what I think? Hey, that's enough out of you.
  • I just knew it was gonna be one of those days. I wouldn't say that too loud.
  • Looks to me like things are getting worse, not better. What am I supposed to do about it?
  • This is bullshit! Try not to dwell on it.
  • I don't dream anymore. That's you all over.
  • I'm glad there are no kids around to see this. I'm not even gonna tell you to shut up.
  • If I could live my life over again. Figures.
  • I'm not even gonna tell you what that reminds me of. Your mind is in the gutter.
  • I can't get this tune out of my head….Woo, woo woo, woo woo woo-woo woo. Wanna bet?
  • I can't believe this day has finally come! No argument there.
  • I could eat a horse, hooves and all! Have you ever had an original thought?
  • You smell that? It's freedom. Why are you telling me?

edit: THIS WAS MY 1000TH POST!!!!

Thanks for looking that up Dragon.

Anything that deals with Half Life 2 is always interesting.

p.s.

Dragon, I need you to help me investigate what Valve had planned for Half Life 2 before major cuts were made to the game. Apparently, the game we have now was a 'rushed' product, and doesn't come near to what was actually planned by the developer (Valve). Indeed, its my own personal opinion that hl2, although a good game, is sadly lacking. The game lacks both length, diversity of enemies/weapons, and has what seems to be a underdeveloped plot.

from wikipedia...

The book Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar[11] revealed many of the game's original settings and action that were cut down or removed entirely from the final game. Half-Life 2 was originally intended to be a far darker game with far grittier artwork where the Combine were more obviously draining the oceans for minerals and replacing the atmosphere with noxious, murky gases. Nova Prospekt was originally intended to be a small Combine rail depot built on an old prison in the wasteland (the depot model remains in the game, visible from the beach and trash compactor). Eventually, Nova Prospekt grew and grew from a stopping-off point along the way to the destination itself.

Half-Life 2 was also originally intended to be much more diverse in settings. Parts of the book detail how Gordon would fight alongside characters such as Odessa Cubbage, albeit under a different name and in a different place, as well as fighting together with Colonel Vance - a character that was later merged with Eli to become Doctor Eli Vance - and Vance's forces. In addition, the player was to follow a vastly different journey than what is in the final release.

Other cuts from the game included a drivable personal water craft and additional weapons. Weapons cut included the OICW seen in an E3 demonstration video and two different models of the gravity gun or Physgun, which is seen in another E3 video, also depicting a level cut from Ravenholm, dubbed "Traptown."

It remains unknown if most of the cut Half-Life 2 scenes will eventually be completed and released, or if they are lost forever. A removed section of the original Half-Life was eventually released as the Half-Life: Uplink demo; a similar situation was in place with the HDR technology demo, Lost Coast, which was based on a scene that was cut from the sequel. It is possible that more removed sections of HL2 will be seen in future expansion packs.

Some of the cut content is available in a work-in-progress mod called Missing Information, constructed using the leaked Half-Life 2 betas as a basis. In addition to several cut weapons, the mod also includes a level set on the stranded icebreaker Borealis and the E3 demonstrations. This mod has not been sanctioned by Valve, being described as "illegal content,"[48] and official permission has not been given for the redistribution of modified versions of the original leaked material.[49]
