What to do with colonies Options

Ok so I got this little planet. I have built up the mines and some buildings to make small ships and a little defense and such.  So do I build this world to be a stronghold ?or is it a personal farm to send res back home? also once you make ships on the colony , can you send those home and add the to the main fleet? I wa even thinking of making missille silos there just to keep bad guys away, what do you guys thinks?

it's all up to you aww, that's what ogames about, you can decide if you want it to be a farm or a stronghold. Personally i'd go for stronghold.
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.
