Server Problem On My End? Options

Hi, I'm a new player at The Tomb, been playing a couple days now and really enjoying it.
Earlier this morning, I logged on, and connected to The Tomb, after awhile I had to leave.
I reconnected at lunch, played, and left.
I come back this afternoon, and it's odd. I cannot connect to The Tomb. All that happens is the motd shows up for a quick second, and disappears, leaving me the HL2 screen, along with the server list.
I don't understand, was I kicked or banned?
I didn't break the no porn sprays rule. Is there a rule I broke without knowing, or is it simply and technical issue on my end?

Help?

EDIT: If it helps, I restarted Steam and nothing new happened.

When playing in any server, type "status" in console.

Should look like "STEAM_0:1:2783732"

It's happened to a lot of us before. I thought it was an issue with the reserve slots but I could be wrong.

Yeah, most likely he gets kicked to allow an admin to join (nothing personal). It kicks the highest pinger.
