Okay, I'll jump in too. Need a new phone. Nevermind what happened. Let's just say you should always close the lid on the toilet whenever you're staying at a cramped hotel.
Looking at the Nokia E62:

And possibly the Samsung Blackjack, Jack:

The E62 has a longer battery life and it's, well a Nokia - trusted technology, but not waterproof technology. The Samsung has 3G speed internet, whatever that is. And no, I'm not eligible for an upgrade and no, I did not have insurance. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." In my experience, nokia is trash. If you're looking for a good smartphone, check out Treo. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

I think she went through three of them over the last four years. The last one was on on the Cingular system. Couldn't get a part of it to work and Cingular suggested she change out the SIM card. Didn't work. Dropped calls were the worst - can't use a phone that won't work as a phone. Palm support sent her right back to Cingular off their telephone menu. Also, when she asked Palm why her Bluetooth wouldn't work some of the time, they told her they do not support Bluetooth on the 680, though they don't tell you that when they advertise it. She sent it back and got the E62. It may work where you live, but I have listened to her bitch about it from the office next to mine for three weeks. She activated the E62 an hour ago and says Nokia customer service is a Brazillion times better. You should be more like Cantrip. Twitchy: "I pulled a Cantrip . . ." Latest Nokia i got the speakers just stopped working in it one day, and that was just after it had been in to repair the bluetooth or something... i'm back to using an old brick at the moment. I think the longeset i got out of a Nokia was maybe just over a year. The shortest didn't even last a month. But something always seems to break in them and i find it much easier to just revernt to using an old panasonic brick or the likes... So while the rest of the brands are largely different between here and the US, the one thing i can say to you is do not go for Nokia. also isn't customer service linked into your network more than the phone manufacturer... it is here at least... yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

MakeSureItsCharcoalGrilled wrote:also isn't customer service linked into your network more than the phone manufacturer... it is here at least... yeah, its like that here too. i have only had 2 phones in the last 5 years. I used to have the motorola V600 (fantastic phone). now i have the motorola 1150, or as they call it in america V3x. both of these phones have been rock solid. as a matter of fact, my old man is actually using my old V600 ever since i got my new phone, and he loves it. now if you are looking for a new phone, i wouldn't suggest the V600 since you probably can't buy it anymore because its like a 4 year old phone. But i would be lying if i didn't recommend my current phone. its not marketed in the United States because its an overseas phone, but i'm sure you can get it unlocked and put your sim chip in it (i'm assuming you have cingular/AT&T). or you can wait for the american version of my phone to hit the market (it should be out by now). just run a google search, you will probably find that if you can afford the phone, it will do everything pretty much equal to if not better then just about any phone on the market. the best part about it is that very few people in the US have this phone, so everybody thinks you have a razr, then they do that double look and stare. then you can look back at them and smile. i get that about twice everyday. im just waiting for the american version of my phone to come out so that cingular/AT&T gets the 3G programing for the phone. then i can put that programming in my phone and make video calls with my friends that have the phone too. i had my V600 for about 4 years, and i have no doubt in my mind that i will have this phone for at least that long.

I got a Cingular 8125. If you are tech savvy at all, then this is the phone for you. It's bascially a mini lap top. It hcan hold a minSD flash card, so my phone has 2 gigs of memory for movies, mp3's ,etc. You gatta have cingular phone service to use it tho. It;s got bluetooth, WiFi (802.11b support), 2.8" QVGA 320x240 64K Color LCD Touch Screen, and uses Windows Mobile 5.0. Check it out if you can afford it! Cingular has a new one coming out that is the Cingular 8525. Looks similar to this but the camera is upgraded a bit as it the case design. BUT it doesnt matter what anyone says about a phone being good or not. Instead you should 1) read reviews online for the phone u think u want and 2) go to the store and try the damn thing out! That's how I know the Treo sucks and the Blackjack isnt right for me; i read reviews and went into the store to play with them. Good luck!
