OK - so the planet is 180 fields which is great. The problem is that the res I put in the colony ship to help me get started disappeared! Two colonies ago I sent a cargo along and it turned around and came back (22 hours later...). This time I put the res in the colony ship thinking that would do the trick, but nooooooooooooo.
WTF?!?

This is something I ment to go over at some point. You cant put res in a colony ship when you send it out. And you cant send ships with a colony ship to a planet. The ships will come back because a planet isnt there yet. Just send colony ships out empty and alone and you wont lose a thing.

I did that once, but my main problem has been fields. I have had to dump several colonies because they have 30-70 fields. My best field count is 168. My most recent colony ship was sent out overnight. I quickly built up the mines and such only to find minutes ago that it has only 62 fields and I have used up 32.
