So I bought a new DVD amd went to make a backup with DVD shrink, but now it doesnt work.  I was reading online they got new copywrite to prevent this, even tho its legal to make a backup of your own dvd.  what do you guys use to rip dvds?  Maybe there is a patch for dvd shrink I need?

actually i think it is illegal, the last round of legislation they brought in in the U.S. made this illegal i was told, even though it is a violation of "fair use". that's what i read on this recently anyway.
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

DVD Decrypt is also another fine piece of software

as long as you stay from dvdxcopy and any other decrepit shaftware you'll be fine
