I have never upgraded a computer, usualy when it gets outdated i just buy a new one ....well my parents did but now i am trying to support myself so i want to upgrade my PC. I dont have the specs here but i know i need to amp up the ramm i think i got like 512 up in there....want to move it up to atleast 1 gig. and i have like a Nvidia 9800+ PRO! i think atleast its 3 yrs old so im assuming its time to buy a new one. Will just those two buys be good enuf for me to play some of the latest games?

first off its a ati 9800 pro, and to upgrade your computer it dependds on what your cpu is what kind of ram you have, sdram, ddr ram, ddr2 ram, and im sure you have a agp so that best card you could get will be a 7800 geforce, and i think for sti its a 1600 is the highest for agp, i could be wrong there. the even getting 1 full gig or ram and new video card your cpu will still limit you greatly. your best best would be to get a whole new set-up, but it also depends on how much you are wanting to spend.

I couldn't agree more.  Let us know your budget on a new computer or for upgrades and we will take care of the list of parts you will need 2 order.  But just to let you know, if its a complete computer upgrade (i.e. motherboard, processor, ram, vid card, etc), it will run you around $700-$1,500.
