Team Fortress 2

Information to classes, map, Gameplay

21.03.2007 | 00:00 o'clock | of Trineas

The German gamemagazine PC Action publishes Fortress 2 in its today appearing new expenditure an world-exclusive Preview of team. Therein we do not experience less than concrete information to the weapons, novelties in the Gameplay and further confirmed map Remakes. But as if that would be not already enough, lets to valve also a more accurate release DATE announce: The Black box appears at the end of of September 2007.

At least if this date should be held, differently than 2003, but with such speculations we would like to be at all. We may not show you the new Screenshots of team Fortress 2 for legal reasons, but gibts all relevant information from the Preview and the pertinent interview compactly in summary:

Generally

Classes

The Scout can from the unreal plays admitted double Jump to carry out. It can jump thus in air second time. The Medic can heal fellow players over large distance, solang visual contact exists. In addition it can make itself invulnerable and its patients for 10 seconds. Each class has its own close-range weapon. Also the secondary weapon mostly differs. Follows a listing of the classes with their head -, beside and close-range weapons:

Scout (reconnaissance aircraft): Shotgun, pistol, baseball bat

Soldier (soldier): Rocket launcher, shotgun, shovel

Pyro (ammunition technician): Flame thrower, shotgun, feuerwehr-Axt

Demo one (bomb-casually): Klebebombe Schleuderer, garnet thrower, broken bottle

Heavy Weapon Guy: Machine gun (mini Gun), shotgun, fists

Engineer (pioneer): Shotgun, pistol, wrench

Medic (medic): Submachine gun, healing emitter, knochensaege

Sniper (sniper): Sniper rifle, submachine gun, club

Spy (feeler gauge): Gun, zigarettenetui (camouflaged PDA for the change of the camouflage), measurers

Map & Gameplay

It will beside 2Fort also a Remake the TF map "wave" to give. Completely new maps gibts also for the play mode "territorial control". By random number generator decided which part the map to be conquered is, ever after which team possesses this range takes it automatically the defender role. In the map wave drive courses through the map, to which the players should evade better. From Capture the flag will let go along "Capture the documents", one must thereby instead of a flag a document suit-case from the opposing basis.

Also portal and episode Two are again presented on three further sides, however they do not contain considerable new information of the Black box up to mentioned already above the release DATE. And that is to change with episode Two also, for valve would like up to release end autumn no more information and detail to the help Life 2-Fortsetzung to publish, in order not to spoil for us the tension.

Who does not give itself with our summary contently or which Fortress 2 Screenshots would like to see new team absolute, the new expenditure the PC Action can buy inclusive Preview from today on. All different wait at the latest for at the end of Septembers, because then the three appear black box Games! (perhaps.)

It will give no more "normal" shells. Valve finds these standardizes the different classes too strongly. Differently than in Fortress Forever Teleporter in team Fortress 2 are maintained. Also it shows the ammunition donor. It will give a personalisiertes statistics system. For example then a text appears like "Hey, as well as today you your class ever did not play - further so!" in the play. Valve regards the classes in other plays as a joke. "which makes it for a difference whether I a M16 or a AK47-Gewehr selects", asks Robin Walker. It would be technically quite possible the fact that -, Xbox360 and PS3-Spieler played PC against each other, whether it creates this feature however in the finished play is still uncertainly and depends on Sony and Microsoft. Valve received only few threatening letters due to the new Comic Design from TF2. Owners of multi-core receive additional, mentioned, diagram details.

the biggest thing for me in that is that valve are now talking about the release date in months instead of quarters. Don't ya know though that "late september" will slip back to late november at least.
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.
