Ok quick question for ya'll : Which is better, "The Office" here in the States or the one thats on BBC (or thats what it said on the box, dont have BBC) that's supposed to be really popluar in Europe (and its the original one i think) cuz I was at Best Buy and just randomly bought 1st season of the one they show in the states, with Steve Carrell, watched it for the first time and thought it was the funniest goddman thing I've seen in forever, like when Dwight's stapler gerts put in jello.  Now I was thinking of getting the original "The Office" that they show on BBC and was wondering if it was worth the money ( and I assume it is) and which do ya'll like more

ps for those of you who have never watched it you should probably illegally download it right fucking now, not now but right now

Nashwork out!
I do what I want!!

well the american one (from what i saw) is just a direct remake of the BBC one
the same things happen in each episode, just with different actors

i'm not sure which is better because i have seen very little of each version

Engineering. It's like science, but it works.

the original office is all about Ricky Gervais (i.e. the Regional Manager)...  The American one without him is just plain and utter shite...

so if you are going to DL it, get the BBC one... Term, Macca, amn't i right?
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Season 1 of The Office US is a direct remake of The Office UK and is plenty good. The Office US after that is original material, but still a great show.

it doesn't have Ricky Gervais in it though... it's just not anywhere close to being as good without him... i actually can't watch it....

I like Ricky Gervais, but I like Steve Carrell too, and really I think the rest of the cast does a good job, so it's not like I only watch it for him. Gervais is an executive producer of the US version anyway, so even if he's not in it, he's around to make sure it doesn't suck.

Edit: By the way, for those who haven't seen it, NBC is running 4 episodes back-to-back on Thursday night.
