Earlier today Lady and I jumped on starting a game between ourselbes and got the Crypt rolling pretty good... and I had to get off to do the tax thing.. now I come back this evening and the only action to be found is on HAX?
Is it just me or wdf is wrong with that? I will start trying to come by more and see if we can get the night things going again.. We just need two to get things rolling and then things start falling in line real quick after that..
I will be one when I am around.. all I need is a two and we got our selves a game. Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

i try to jump on at night for a bit of play. last night, peep and i were going 1 v 1 for a few maps since nobody else was joining. although it was hard to get the maps we want since my admin is still broke  *hint hint*

It's been really hard to hit critical mass. I spent a good 2 hours playing 1 on 2 and then 1 on 1 the other day and no one joined at all. Last night we had a fair number of people on but then I kept crashing and getting bad packet loss so I had to take a break. When I came back a half hour later there was no one. It seems like that happens a lot, mostly I think due to either a map people don't like or because one team kicks the shit out of a team full of noobs who get scared off. Since I've had a lot more time to play recently it's made me sad to see the crypt so empty. My usual method: 1)See Crypt is empty 2)Connect to Hax 3) Kick lots of ass 4) Die 5)Check if Crypt is empty 6)Repeat from Step 3 Eventually someone joins the Crypt and I go play there until the server becomes empty again, then it's back to Hax. More than anything, the thing that seems to attract people to the Crypt is when there is at least 6 people playing. I think if we can start consistently hitting 6 people in late afternoon/early evening we will start seeing a self-sustaining playerbase until it gets late enough that people go to bed. So um, join the server motherfuckers. If it's after about 6pm pst chances are I will be there. Everyone that I know and keep up with outside pDs (minus a handful) hates the bow mod. I don't care about the mods personally, I'll play with or without, but my interest in source games is definitely waning and I think HAX clan was opportunistic to take advantage of The Crypt popularily during the months we were down. I know these people that hate the bow mod also gave it a fair chance through thorough testing... right? No, I see people come in first time ever, get killed twice, say fuck this and leave. I've given people something to whore other than the mag. I've turned hl2dm into a more fast paced quake style game, which I find immensely entertaining, and people cry their shit because their K;D ratio sucks. I hate dmers.

I hate dmers. personally, i think my k:d improves, if not the same as if i was on another server. this is just my opinion, but, most of the people out there know what the hax server is like, which is modded. the large part of the gaming community dont recognize the crypt as being modded and therefore expect it not to be modded, and therefore leave (due to popularity) i play on the crypt periodically, but i also like to play unmodded servers also.

i just like the stun stick/crowbar, only weapon i seem to use anymore. people bitch about that too, but fuck em.
