sorry Dragon I don't think that I will be able to scrim this fri as I "upgraded" my RAM (the shit that the guy spent time looking up for me at the computer store). He said yeah yeah this is the right stuff and so i came home and now my video card DOESN'T WORK! I'm kinda pissed, but there's nothing I can do tonight now. I'm hoping to have this sorted by thurs, but can't make any promises right now. I'll ket you know as soon asi figure this out.

never trust the guy in the store.
what kind of ram did you buy? if it fits in your computer its probably the right shit, but the timings may be different.. you may be able to adjust the settings in your bios. can't you just remove the new ram and use the old ram?

so you would end up with 3 sticks of ram for a total of 1.5gigs? (256+256+1024).
Have you tried running just the 1 gig stick? Is your system OC'd at all?
Have you tried changing which slots the ram is in?

I've ran programs to try and figure out what it is? There was two folders in one of the temp files that microsoft was going to send witht the error report so i just deleted them all together. still trying

what problems are you having? do the problems go away if you remove the new ram? do they go away if you have only the new ram in and not the old ram? do they go away if you have only one stick of ram in?
