ok well i cant make polls in this forum but the question is..
Does listening to music help your gaming skill?

no
i usually listen to linkin park, breaking benjamin, and some other bands like that. sometimes it actually does help me to play some. sometimes i can do better without it because sometimes i end up singing along and getting killed.

FPS never - listening to footsteps/gunfire is important, RTS sometimes - i go through my d/l CD's and randomly pick one, action/adventure mostly - nothing important that needs listening, just put subtitles on and play music.... music helps me concentrate, i usually listen to opeth, ministry, pigface, kmfdm...somewhere in there.

I say it improves my skill when I need to block out the outside world and focus' in on the task at hand. I usually use I-doser when I have to scrim..but I usually can't scrim cause my fps is usually low.
Its not the music. But the removal of mundane souinds. and the immersion of visual importants that heightens my concentration ...Lawl
