From AGP to PCI-E!!!  Now, if all goes well, I'm gonna try to get like $200 or so for my current motherboard/vidcard. That may be a long shot, but a sucker could always buy it.  But anyway I was looking on the newegg and saw this motherboard www.newegg.com/Product/P...asp?Item=N82E16813131569 and wanted to know if anybody has used it, had problems, or loves it.  Also I was considering purchasing an evga geforce 7900gt to throw in there, cause the price isn't that bad.  But first before I go through the whole process of spending my hard earned money, I'd like to know what all of you would think.

First off, I'm running AMD shit (athlon 64 3700+)
And if anybody is interested, I'm trying to sell my current mobo/vidcard (Abit UL8 agp/bfg geforce 6800gs 256mb with arctic cooling silencer fan attached)

Go crazy (but don't fight suckers)

Shark

EDIT: Here's a funny question,  Why are they selling 7800gtx's for way more than the 7900's that appear to be faster or the same speeds n such?

If you're going to go with an ASUS board, then go for the A8N-E or the A8N-SLI premium. But if you aren't dead set on getting an ASUS board, I'd say pay the extra for this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136160

Also, if you're going to get a 7900GT, heres a good one that's on sale right now:

Have you read the reviews on this? Those are some pretty nasty cons. I ignored the comments that people had made on a Gigabyte board i bought a few months back and lo and behold I ended up having the exact same issues they described.

Eh, you never take newegg reviews seriously since they aren't moderated at all. Even people who don't even buy the board can leave a review. DFI boards are hands down the best kind of board you can buy if you know what you're doing in terms of overclocking.

Most people have problems with them because they have no idea what they're doing.

how much you want for the vid card? I have a 6600GT already so a 6800GS isn't a huge step up, but I still am kind of interested...

Why you call the A64 shit? I love mine and it's a lowly 3000+ model (OC'd about .5ghz...). I loved my Athlon XP before it, I cooked the hell out of it and the worst it ever did was shut itself off - it cost under $100 and I ran it for 3 years, best price/performance ratio I've ever gotten out of a CPU.

i know you can oc an intel to 5ghz i have maximum oc issue where they do it, but they had to buy a $900 water cooling system. 5ghz is to high for amd.

It should be a crime to have a 3700+ San Diego and not overclock

3700+'s get to 2.8ghz easy, making it as fast as a stock FX-57

PCI-E seems like a great move for board makers, makes things a bit easier and more interchangeable. I'll get a new system once Vista comes out.

PCI-e cards are also cheaper to make than AGP
