So wait, just out of curiosity (and maybe ignorance of how reserved slots work)...

they work on the basis of kicking the highest pinger who hasn't a reserved slot. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

yeah, if the server is full and a person with a reserved slot wants to join, the server kicks the highest pinging player like charc said. the server doesnt keep a permanent empty slot for that player.  Cantrip wrote:When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a woman's jogging bra.

The servers are actually 32 players... not 30. Two slots are always left open for those with reserved slots to connect without issue (aside from having to connect via console). Once the reserved slotter joins, it offers to redirect the highest pinger to another Tempest server. If they accept they simply connect to one of the three... if they decline they are disconnected. There are always two slots (which are hidden) that are open to allow reserved folks to connect. I am still working out the kinks in the system... if you experience issues please let me know.
