My computer is dead.  Hooray!

I have to wait until I get back to college before I can send it in.  Kinda sucks, but at least I have it under warranty so I don't have to pay for anything.  I think it might be the power supply... my computer shut down randomly, twice, then won't turn on the third time I tried to power it up.

Oh, what I was going to ask was: is there a way to backup hard drive data onto another PC?  the harddrive is fine, I just can't power my computer to view any information.  I'm on my sister's computer.

{pDs} Lead Salad: bike why did you change your name

You can try your sister's power supply in your comp to see if that is the problem. Also, (first) make sure all the power connections inside are tight. Yes you can back up your hard drive. But you'll either have to take out the hard drive from your computer and install it into your sisters comp (since yours isnt working) or you have to get your comp up and running before you back it up. Either way, the HD has to have power to it.

it's ok. all computer components have clearly dotted lines along which you can cut* to make smaller.
