Just wondering what the console command is for the chat that happens during play...I guess like a chat log that happens during play, is there one?

Ya. When you start the game go to Options then Keyboard and check the box for the tilde button ~, but it's actually the ` button next to the 1 button. You should be more like Cantrip. yes.. the command is
say {TEXT} <------ general chat
say_team {TEXT}<---- Team only chat
btw... not all keyboards have the tilde button next to the 1. Mine is next to the enter button and I have to press ALT Gr to access the tilde function (making it impossible to use ingame without a startup shortcut).
Just open up the startup icon for any Steam game and add "-console" to the end of the directory path, and the console is permanently open in the ESC menu window.
