Dunno why, but I've had an urge to get into this game. Its evolved a lot since I last played it. Now it has real everything (real airport equipment, more detail, fly in real world/real time weather, etc.). If you go the multi player route (who wouldn't), you can fly with real people using voice chat, and even be controlled by other real people acting as ATC. My concern is that it'll suck up too much time. I mean, in multi player mode, you have to fly in real time so no fast forwarding to your destination. If the flight is 13 hours, you play the game 13 hours. And people do. People fly from San Francisco to Hong Kong! Anyways, has anyone played Flight Simulator X and is it worth it? Thread of guy doing 14 hour flight Chicago - Hong Kong. He did it in a few installments. get your ass to mars

It does look quite cool, but if you start playing it in real time, you lose all respect I have for you ;] Quote:Posting related image due to my inability to formulate an intelligent response. BlooDz wrote:i cant type good im stupid

take off in the morning and then set the autopilot. go to work. come back 8-10 hours later and resume flying/land. thats how i would make a long flight in real time. thats assuming it doesn't crash while i'm at work.

once you get up to altitude what is the point?
This is the captain speaking.. out the left window you will see more clouds. Our the right you will see even more clouds.
You know to become a pilot is only 4 to 5 years of school now.

Did you know you need at least a bachelors degree to become a Flight attendant?

Proud owner of Flight Simulator X, although I don't recommend it. A few clarifications: you can speed up simulation time so flying from San Fran to China won't take 12 hours. But your plane won't explode when you crash, it'll stick out of the ground like a totem pole until you respawn it. The multiplayer will make your computer die of lag poisoning in any server with 4 or more players. NO, you can't be a flight attendant. NO, you can't flirt with a flight attendant. NO, you can't join the Mile High Club with a flight attendant. And Flight Simulator 2004 has way easier system requirements. So I'd say no. Win Cookies Awarded: 7 (bawwwwww)
