yea, working on an older comp, so if you could tell me any ways to speed it up? I ran a disk cleanup, defrag, and an error scan but i still get the constant flow of error messages at bootup and have a slow computer. Please help me if you have any links to downloads it will be apreciated.

If you get errors on bootup, seems like there is something wrong with your installation of windows.
Slap in the windows CD when you boot up and do a repair of windows, if that doesn't work you might have to format and reinstall

I hate formatting because its so tedious, but theres nothing like a fresh install...after you download and install all the updates, service packs, extra programs, etc. If I was you I would reformat and buy more ram, always a good decision. get your ass to mars

Your best bet and best way to save yourself trouble is to save your data, reinstall Windows and use a program like TrueImage or Ghost, to make an image of your system so you can reinstall within 15-20 mins without problems.....
As for speeding up a slow box, there's so many things to name on how to "speed it up", but if it's an older box, chances are, a reinstall will be better for you.....
First, delete *ALL* programs you aren't using on a regular basis....download, install and run a program called CCleaner to clear up the "crap" on your system.....Then defrag your hard drive......
That's about the main thing you can do that's going to help......everything else will be "minor" bandaid fixes.....
