and I can't hear anything!  nada. zip....

My sound just stopped coming out of the speakers.  Its not the speakers because they work in my other computer...the sound isn't muted and I can't figure it out!  HELP!

I want to hear the beautiful sound of pwnage again :(

It's the computer's fault, then. Check the connections and the volume panel.

Make sure the speakers are connected in the right spot and the speaker volume is set right, and double click on the Volume button in the bottom corner and make sure all of the tabs are not muted or at the very bottom.

see if u can "roll back" to a previous driver, a lot of times windows update will install new drivers that dont work, or if u plug and unplug the audio cable while on u can destroy the video hardware

it's ok. all computer components have clearly dotted lines along which you can cut* to make smaller.

If you recently reformatted your hard drive or got a new computer one recurring problem is that people forget to (re)install the drivers for their audio devices. Do you know the manufacturer and model of your motherboard? If so google it with the word "drivers" and you should probably find a site (usually the manufacturer's page) that will let you download them. If you don't know what motherboard you're using, download this program and it will run a diagnostic of all the hardware on your PC.
