I read an article somewhere (think it was PI) that talked about the differences between Medvedev and Putin. The headline said that Medvedev would be much lighter than the typically iron-fisted Putin. But, he did earn Putin's endorsement.
As for the election being rigged, I ask what for? Medvedev had popular support by a considerable margin (also sourcing the PI article). Safety + Peace

Russia doesn't import that much oil into the US, however. In fact, the Virgin Islands imports more oil into the US than Russia so I wouldn't be so concerned. sourceget your ass to mars

Yes but America still thinks she is the world's nanny. No matter who gets into the white house (Unless Ron Paul somehow miraculously won) they will confront Russia at some point.
