Does anyone know where I can get a free sound editor program? I have some sounds I would like to cut and splice together. They're in mp3 or .wma, or whatever Windows Media Player plays. Or they might be .wav files - don't remember now. I would like to be able to see the sound graphically so I could cut and add to it, then save the edited sound in the original mp3 or .wma format. The OS would be Windows XP. I was hoping Windows had a free sound editor, but I didn't look very long before giving up. Any ideas? You should be more like Cantrip. ACiD also works pretty well, a tiny bit of curve but if you have any knowledge of computers it's easy to pick up. Win Cookies Awarded: 7 (bawwwwww)

I used Goldwave to edit and then razorlame as a plug-in to goldwave to make files from mp3 to wma and vice versa. Later editions of goldwave may have that included already, but think they pay. Thanks I will give this a try. I actually have a professional sound editing program, but it's currently on the HD that I pulled off this buggy mobo that I now run Linux on to surf for teh pron.
