So I have this groovy promotional Steam account through my company (because we help make Steam possible) and they periodically add games to it for free. Needless to say that's how I've gotten HL2, Ep1, Ep2, Portal, and TF2. I also have another account that I added the games I've purchased in the past to; I can't add games to the promotional account.

Unfortunately, I also think that my "Community" features are severely limited on it. I don't even have the Community tab on the promotional account and can't log into the Friends list. Heck... I can't even select an avatar on it.
So, in light of that, I'm considering purchasing TF2 on my personal account.

However...
I'd really hate to lose all my stats here. It's bad enough I'll lose my general stats and achievements.
Is there any way they can be moved to a different Steam ID through some clever database updates?

Ciao Time

For personal (client side only) stats, afaik you simply have to transfer a few key files between your computers. These would be the xxx_player/gamestats files found in each game's main folder. For TF2 you simply replace the tf2_playerstats.dmx file, for EP2 you replace the gamestats.dat file, and so on for Portal/Audiosurf/NR-S. I'm not sure exactly what stats carry over (hopefully everything + achievements) but it should work smoothly.

For HLstats, PM Whutters about a transfer.

Seems to be a non-issue now.
It's odd. I don't have the Community tab in Steam under my promotion account, but do under my normal one. I can, however, access it directly on the website. Seems to work well enough from there.
