I still can't open my mouth properly due to my jaw. Better not un-know your jaw too soon. You'll need another set of refills to tide you over till your next surgery. silverwasp wrote:Be careful what you wish for... I have 10 younger siblings and I am only 20....

Just be glad you didn't have your wisdom teeth taken out by a military dentist. The fucker kept me awake with 10 shots with needles about 8 inches long into my gums, having to break my teeth because they were too hard and pull them out piece of piece while carrying a conversation (while making eye contact) with his nurse the whole time. I had an abnormal amount of bleeding for a week or so, a friend of mine's neck turned purple for 3 weeks and another friend of mine lost his sense of taste from t hat very same dentist. He's under investigation for malpractice. But, fuck it....it was free. Iraq-Bound 29 AUG 08 - Tikrit

Update: I'm now a month into recovery. Normally the worst is past after a week or so. Not me! I've had jaw pain since the surgery. I figured it was a stiff muscle issue and ignored it. Four day ago I lost all feeling on the right half of my face. It's been spreading upwards towards my cheek ever since. Turns out I have a massive infection underneath the gums. It healed over it and it's sitting in there festering. Epic. To top it off, I'm allergic to almost every single antibiotic short of clindamycin. I'm taking ol' clindy. 1 150mg every 6 hours for five days. If I don't regain feeling in my face I'll be in for surgery in six days. One. Fucking. Tooth. Good game, God.

Had half my face like that once. Turns out it was a spider bite that just was close to a nerve. Wore off in a few days. The fucked up thing is my drivers license renewed during that week so my DMV photo looks like ass.
