Has anybody had the chance to purchase or use some surround sound headphones? (digital or multiple speaker setup.)

Thinking about picking up a pair of the Tritton AX360's for me and the wife.  I'd rather get some wireless headsets like the ltb q home fx so we could use them when the baby's asleep but I think i'd get more use(and save some cash) out of buying two wired headsets like those tritton's and just run the optical out from the receiver and split it for when we use them away from the PCs.  Maybe terminate it at two jacks to have the ability to add 2 other headsets later.  *shrug* i dunno, just thinking out loud.

Anyways, if you've used either, or have similar products to suggest let me know.  either way digital audio (fiber or coaxial) would be needed.

Everytime I save up enough cash to buy a good set of headphones... I just can't bring myself to actually buy 'em and spend the money on lots of cheaper smaller items... Very interested in hearing what the community has to say about 'em.

I went on a splurge and got myself some Sennheiser HD555.

I was very satisfied. I just feels very comfortable and easy on the ears. I found customer reviews helped a lot in my purchase. You might also want a good soundcard although the onboard ones nowadays are decent.
