So Sci Fi channel is running all the episiodes of Firefly today. Some of you may have seen the movie that "tied up" the series called Serenity.

So I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone how pissed off I am that they canceled what I thought was a great series.

If you havn't seen the episodes, the whole series is sold in stores and the movie is out there. Watch the series THEN watch the movie. In that order.

I really liked the characters and the humor. The mix of western/space with chinese swearing was pretty original.

Yeah I'm with you on this one war.
I abso-freaking-lutely loved every part of this series and can't figure out why it got canceled.

Also, the movie was about a 3.5/4 and wasn't just for people who like the series.
I've actually been watching the episodes of firefly today since I am kind of waiting to recover from surgery.

Fantastic stuff is all I can say.

War, I'm with you.. I wrote evil letters to the network when they cancelled one of the best SciFi series on TV at the time.. I bought the entire series (all 1 season of it) as soon as it came out.  Your advice to watch the series before the movie Serenity is right on the money... course since it's been out for a while, it may be too late for most folks to watch in order. 

Joss Whedon is the most amazing writer.. he wrote the concept and most of the episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and one episode that was a musical (Once more with Feeling) he also wrote the musical score for in a weekend... Wow what a guy!  I'd love to see more of his stuff out there..
