Quote:FOX News/AP, July 29, 2008, DENVER - The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) raised the level of its Homeland Security Advisory System Color Chart for the first time in over three and a half months yesterday, to "High" status after receiving several tips about a suspected "terror attack" and a shocking ransom notice from a terror cell in Colorado.
The terrorist group, which DHS experts believe is connected to radical Islam, has demanded the government pay a sum $50 million, to prevent a "terrorist attack" on the Democratic National Convention which is being held in Denver, at the end of August. The Democratic National Convention is expected to entertain several thousand guests, as well as some top Democratic leaders, and Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
"We are still unsure why they have targeted the DNC," a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said, "but we do not take these threats lightly. We have already dispatched several units to begin our investigation."
